Educational Grants – Please apply!
Grants to attend education and training courses
We are keen to support the careers of our members whilst improving patient experience and outcomes. It is good to note that applications for funding are beginning to increase. Educational Grants are available to Associate Members to attend education and training courses, workshops and conferences and seminars relating to their areas of practice in the hospital and in the community. Grants are also available to members to undertake post-graduate research programmes (MPhil, PhD, professional doctorates etc) relating to their area of practice.
Amounts awarded are dependent on Charity funds and we are currently in discussion with UCLH about merging some of our resources to boost the monies available. Currently, awards are likely to be within the region of:
- First degrees (for registered nurses – not as initial training) a maximum of £500 per 10 credit UG module.
- Master’s level degree/modules are set at a maximum of £250 per 10-credit PG module.
- PhD level a maximum of £2,000 per year for a full-time PhD and a maximum of £1,000 per year for a part-time PhD
- Conferences and study days up to a maximum of £250 to support conference or study day attendance which can also be used towards travel and accommodation.
Enquiries/applications for educational grants are made initially by contacting the email address educational@uchlondonnursescharity.co.uk. This is a specific email account that is monitored by Trustees of the Education Group.
If you are interested or would like to know more then please get in touch, we would love to hear from you.
